West Sends Billions, But Envoy Warns Nuclear Doctrine Makes Defeat Impossible

Despite billions of dollars in military and economic support from the US and Europe flowing into Kyiv, Russia’s defeat in the war remains an impossibility, according to its ambassador to India.
The almost four-year-long conflict, sustained by advanced Western weapons systems, cannot end in a Ukrainian victory, argued Denis Alipov at an event in Gurugram.
The reason, he stated, is Moscow’s nuclear arsenal. Alipov was direct: “You can’t… take over us in this conflict simply because of our nuclear weapons.”
He elaborated that Russia’s formal military doctrine permits the use of this arsenal if the country is put under an “existential threat,” a red line he emphasized.
Alipov dismissed European hopes as “childish” and “unprofessional,” while asserting that President Donald Trump “understands” that the war is “lost by Ukraine and the West.”
