Wales secured a much-needed victory against Norway, coming from behind to win 2-1 in Cardiff. This marked their first win of the year and provided a significant morale boost for the team and their manager, Craig Bellamy.

Norway initially took the lead in the first half through Oscar Bobb, who finished a well-orchestrated move. However, Wales responded before halftime with Daniel James scoring the equaliser. His goal followed a swift attacking play involving teammates Liam Cullen, Lewis Koumas, and Sorba Thomas.

The game turned in Wales’ favour shortly after the second half began when Norway’s defender Torbjørn Heggem was sent off for a foul on James as he advanced towards the goal. This left Norway with ten men on the pitch, offering Wales a crucial advantage.

Neco Williams then capitalized on this advantage by giving Wales the lead, scoring with a precise free-kick from the edge of the penalty area. His shot found the bottom corner, evading Norway’s goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland.

Despite being a man down, Norway pushed for an equaliser but struggled to create clear opportunities. Star striker Erling Haaland had limited involvement in the match and was unable to score.

This victory ended a challenging run of results for Wales and marked Bellamy’s first win since November. Meanwhile, the defeat for Norway was their second consecutive loss, breaking a long unbeaten streak in successive matches.
